Jane picked up my business card in my booth, and called to see if I would be interested in reupholstering a couple of thrift store chairs that she planned to use in her classroom. I said "sure" and we met so I could look at the chairs. Turns out that Jane is the aunt of my good friend Carrie. Funny how that kind of thing works! So this is what we started with.
They were pink and dirty and not very fresh smelling, but they were such a cute shape!! I knew we could work some magic :) Jane picked out a vibrant multi-colored chevron pattern fabric that will be awesome in her classroom. I stripped the chairs, painted the legs black, and got to work making them pretty. I decided against keeping the channel back on these guys. It is not that I was afraid of working that in while trying to keep the pattern straight or anything........Ok I was afraid. I was very afraid. I think it worked out just fine to leave that off and Jane was on board so we went without :) Here is what we ended up with.
Pretty darn fabulous if I do say so myself! I want to be in her class! I am sure the kiddos love the bright colors and pattern. Alright, well now that I have totally blown your minds and posted twice in a week I will see you later! ~Christy
